Ne dit-il pas que ce séjour dans les bagnes soviétiques, qu'il qualifie de "laboratoires de sociologie appliquée", a été l'occasion unique d'observer le système soviétique à nu, sans masque. When Russia was in the throes of Joseph Stalin's campaign for the forced collectivization of Soviet agriculture, a young boy named Pavlik Morozov informed the OGPU (later called the KGB) that his father was an enemy of the regime. As a result, Pavlik's father was arrested and disappeared in a Soviet concentration camp. Enemies of the party later killed the boy, whereupon people proclaimed him a hero. Para horror del sistema, de los casticistas, de los bienpensantes y políticamente correctos, sobrevuela la sospecha de un Cervantes antisistema, imposible cortesano, zahiriente del cambio injusto y trato con maraña (la corrupción económica más elemental), un Cervantes aconfesional y hasta feminista del que no se habla en la pompa de los centenarios, y cuyomensaje principal se esforzó en construir a lo largo de su vida de manera consciente. Por ello, Cervantes, el libertario cuerdo o lúcido, tiene que inventarse a don Quijote, el libertario loco, para poder decir lo que quería decir, pura búsqueda de libertad de expresión para alcanzar libertad en esta vida . Lecturas de Cervantes innumerables y siempre nuevas, renovables incluso a medida que cambien los tiempos, fundamentales para entender por ejemplo a Cervantes cuando dice que no vale para cortesano porque no sabe lisonjear, y cuyas quejas sobre la justicia son radicales, sin fisura, claramente antisistémicas, tal cual aparece en el discurso primero de la Edad de Oro, por boca de Quijote; o el Cervantes que en un análisis maestro de la modernidad que se avecinaba, compara la empresa económica moderna con la galeota corsaria, y lamenta que el nuevo dios de los nuevos tiempos sea el interese , el dinero, de manera que el cambio injusto y trato con maraña sea la nueva ley de esos nuevos tiempos bárbaros; o el Cervantes feminista que en una sociedad patriarcal y macha hace decir a Marcela que ella nació libre y que pasa de que su enamorado no correspondido, Crisóstomo, se haya suicidado, porque era un acosador; o el Cervantes que, en una sociedad confesional fundamentalista como era la monarquía católica, hace despedirse a un moro y a un cristiano en una pieza teatral así: Tu Cristo vaya contigo , dice el moro Ali; Tu Mahoma, Ali, te guarde , dice el cristiano; formulación sin parangón en la literatura europea de entonces y casi de hoy, tal como van las cosas. Ese es el Cervantes que no parece que las élites culturales y los especialistas tengan ningún interés en glosar para que todos lo entiendan. El que no puede digerir una sociedad formal que en el fondo no entra de lleno en él porque, como en vida le sucedió, lo desprecia y oculta, lo difumina o ningunea, y sólo es capaz de reírle gracias al loco que dice tonterías, y que inventó por pura necesidad de libertad de expresión, en un artilugio literario que crea la novela moderna. Ese es, sin duda, el Cervantes personaje histórico que encandila a los anarquistas, a los libertarios, y por ello son radicalmente cervantistas, más que quijotistas, pues enamorados del Quijote, focalizan su interés en ese hombre que está detrás de la obra literaria misma, que le da vida, que la hace posible. Ese Don Quijote de Alcalá de Henares, como sintetiza, puro emblema, José María Pujol, en el título de un libro que publicó en 1947 y que firma sencillamente PUYOL; un exiliado libertario que llegó a Argelia en el barco. en espanol.

large 8vo, br. ed. 418pp. Roman Brackman was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1931. In 1935 his father, an engineer, was imprisoned in Gulag camp near Dmitrov. As a boy Roman stayed for weeks with his father in the camps barracks and saw the barb wire, watch towers and columns of prisoners going to and from work. He grew up during the Great Purges when many of his relatives were arrested and perished. He graduated from high school in 1948 and enrolled in the Moscow Oriental Institute, Arabic division. In 1949 Roman and two of his school friends tried to escape from the Soviet Union by swimming from the Black Sea port Batumi to Turkey. They were arrested and sentenced to 10 years in Special Political prison camps. Roman was sent to Norylsk Gulag where he took an active part in prisoners uprising in the summer of 1953 only to be released in 1955 in the first post-Stalin amnesty. In 1959 Roman managed to leave the Soviet Union legally - his wife was a Polish citizen. In 1962 he, his wife and their two sons immigrated to the United States. In 1965 Roman graduated from City College of New York with bachelor degree in science and in 1980 he received the doctorate degree in history from New York University. During Carter-Reagan election campaign in 1979-1980 Roman published his first book "Jimmy Carter Provocateur-in-Chief." The first edition of his book "The Secret File of Joseph Stalin - A Hidden Life" was published in 2001 in London and translated to several languages, including Russian.

Due to their lack of expertise and technological know-how, from early on the Soviets were forced to rely heavily on secret agents instead of the more sophisticated code-breaking techniques of other intelligence agencies. But in this they were highly successful, recruiting spy rings such as the infamous Cambridge Five in the 1930s. Had it not been for Soviet espionage against Britain s code-breaking effort during the Second World War, Stalin might never have won the victory that later enabled him to dominate half of Europe. Similarly, espionage directed at his allies enabled the Soviets to build an atomic bomb earlier than expected and to take calculated risks in post-war diplomacy, such as his audacious blockade of Berlin which led to the Berlin Airlift. Chi si ostina a ripetere, in nome di Dio o del Mercato, che "Marx è morto" lo fa, allora, perché assillato dal suo spettro.- esso continua infatti a denunciare le contraddizioni di un mondo capovolto. Anche oggi che il "socialismo reale" è naufragato e che la storia ha mandato in frantumi il sogno di Marx, il fallimento delle sue profezie non intacca l'esattezza della denunce da lui formulate, e la sua critica radicale del capitalismo rappresenta ancora lo strumentario concettuale più "forte"per criticare la società esistente e le contraddizioni che la permeano. Il progetto marxista continua a essere la più seducente promessa di felicità di cui la filosofia moderna sia stata capace.

A caratterizzare il rapporto che l'odierno tempo del fanatismo dell'economia intrattiene con Gramsci è, infatti, la volontà di rimuoverne la passione rivoluzionaria, l'ideale della creazione di una "città futura" sottratta all'incubo del capitalismo e della sua mercificazione universale. Risiede soprattutto "nell'attuale inattualità" della sua figura la difficoltà di ogni prospettiva che aspiri oggi a ereditare Gramsci e ad assimilare il suo messaggio: ossia ad assumere come orientamento del pensiero e dell'azione la sua indocilità ragionata, fondata sulla filosofia della praxis dei "Quaderni". Essa trova la sua espressione più magnifica nella condotta di vita gramsciana, nel suo impegno e nella sua coerenza - pagata con la vita - nella "lotta per una nuova cultura, cioè per un nuovo umanesimo". Critica glaciale delle contraddizioni che innervano il presente e ricerca appassionata di un'ulteriorità nobilitante costituiscono la cifra del messaggio dell'intellettuale sardo: l'ha condensato lui stesso nel noto binomio del "pessimismo dell'intelligenza" e dell'"ottimismo della volontà". Ereditare Gramsci significa, di conseguenza, metabolizzare la sua coscienza infelice e non conciliata, la passione durevole della ricerca di una felicità più grande di quella disponibile.
