brossura "Fa minga la figüra del cicculatée", "Lasal in dal so broeud", "El dorma da la quarta", "Tutt a 'n bott": ormai non capita quasi più neanche in campagna di sentire queste belle espressioni dialettali. Poche parole e una grande efficacia comunicativa: "Sun mezz in gèsa" per dire che uno non stava tanto bene, mentre a mettere pace quando moglie e marito avevano avuto da discutere tutto il giorno arrivava "l'avucatt Cuerta". L'autore, che per il dialetto prova infinite emozioni, ci accompagna in un nuovo viaggio fra i pensionati del "canton di ball" che ci raccontano storie, aneddoti e tradizioni popolari della cultura meneghina che si vanno perdendo.

Ciumbia che bèla tusa
ill. Intriga e affascina gli appassionati scoprire le parole e le espressioni dialettali impossibili da tradurre in italiano: la filipa, il gancio di ferro che i contadini e i boscaioli legavano alla cintola dei calzoni; il tegàsc, la pelle dell'acino d'uva; l'andadura che veniva utilizzata dai contadini per insegnare ai bambini a camminare. Parole che riportano al mondo contadino, alle vendemmie, alle storie legate a lontane stagioni del mondo rurale lombardo. Vocaboli ed espressioni con un significato ben preciso che è impossibile trovare nel pur vasto vocabolario della lingua italiana: questo libro cerca di scoprirne non solo l'origine etimologica, ma anche storie e aneddoti legati a un passato che si perde ormai nella notte dei tempi.

El pancott e altre delizie. Storie e ricette perdute della tradizione brianzola e lombarda
br. Quella delle antiche cascine della Brianza era una cucina moderata, assai parsimoniosa, forse un po' taccagna, attenta a tra via nagött, tutto serviva alle resgiure, le padrone della casa, per preparare una pietanza gustosa. Ci voleva solo tanta fantasia. I nomi dei piatti, che pochi oggi ricordano, erano il dizionario materiale della cultura contadina: el pancott, pane raffermo ammollato nell'acqua e cotto con un po' di formaggio, la frittata con i lovertis, i germogli del luppolo disponibili in quantità nei campi, le torte con i nomi di santi che si cucinavano solo in certe ricorrenze, i gôbb, pesci così poveri da valere meno della monetina coniata nel Cinquecento da un duca gobbo, il michén de Bager, panino Dop ante litteram, il pan de mej, fatto con la farina di miglio da non confondere con il pan mejn aromatizzato con fiori di sambuco. Emilio Magni, cantore della cultura brianzola e milanese, ha mescolato nella grande pentola della memoria le ricette di questi piatti con tante storie e ha messo in tavola un libro che sa di infanzia, di ricordi belli, di una vita in cui davvero si viveva a chilometro zero.
