Kiebuzinski, Rae
Yesterday, The River: A History of the Ear Falls [Ontario] District
pp.xi, [1], 387. Bibliography. Black and white reproductions of archival photos. Three maps. "Ear Falls is a bush town in a slow-growth area of Ontario. It has been carved out of the forests and imbedded in some of Canada's most picturesque countryside. The history of Ear Falls is a tale of fortitutde, of struggle against unbelievable odds. It is a story of how men survived and pioneered in rugged bush country. The tough ones survived, became tougher, and learned to love this country with a passion; the weaker ones scuttled back to the safety of town or suburban life." - Introduction. Prior owner's details atop front free endpaper. Average wear to book bound in chocolate brown faux leather lettered in gilt. Binding intact. Above-average wear to dust jacket now preserved in glossy new archival-grade Brodart. A sound copy of this informative Northwest Ontario local history. Bishop p.1111. Book

Kilner Arthur R.
Greene County Ohio: Births Prior to 1869
Heritage Books. New. 1988 2009. Trade Paperback. 227 pages. Green County Ohio was created in 1803 and is part of the vast area once known as the North West Territory. Although probate and land records begin with the creation of the county civil recording of births did not begin until 1869. There is thus a lack of any central source for this vital information over the first sixty-six years of the county's history. This volume attempts to correct the situation by bringing together records of births prior to 1869 as culled from a multitude of sources. While much of the data has been taken from secondary sources such as family and county histories cemetery inscriptions and obituaries a great deal of the information has been taken from original sources recorded at about the time of the birth such as Bible records and church records. Thus this volume should be of great use to genealogical and historical researchers interested in the Greene County area. Entries are arranged alphabetically and typically give the name of the child the date and place of birth the names of the parents and a citation to the source of the data. This large collection provides birth data on about 7000 people as derived from several hundred sources. . Heritage Books paperback
