Esemplare di dedica di opera fondamentale per la storia antica civile e diplomatica del Piemonte e Monferrato e per la città di Acqui in particolare, condotta dall'autore sui documenti e codici manoscritti datati dal 1399 al 1699, corredata di indici ed erudite note filologiche. Importante è pure lo studio genealogico sulle famiglie nobili piemontesi potenti nei secoli citati. Assai rara. Magnifico esempl. a pieni margini, conservato nell'artistica legatura torinese del tempo, con decorazione tipica degli artigiani che lavorarono nel settecento alla corte Sabauda (vedi gli studi di Morazzoni e Malaguzzi su tali legature). brossura "Ho scoperto la Famiglia Bonacossa per caso, durante la stesura del mio ultimo libro "Destini imperfetti". Volevo collegare un personaggio del romanzo alla storia della mia città di Vigevano, anche se la trama trattava tutt'altro argomento. La linea di congiunzione poteva essere una famiglia storica di Vigevano. Feci una breve ricerca negli archivi e notai che la maggioranza venivano ricordate solo per uno dei componenti che si era distinto dando lustro al suo casato di appartenenza, mentre per quanto riguarda i Bonacossa ogni componente non solo si distinse per meriti imprenditoriali ma anche per ogni personale peculiarità che ne fece dei personaggi unici. Per questo motivo ne rimasi affascinata. Nel leggere questa monografia non aspettatevi solo dati storici ma avrete una mia personale interpretazione della figura di ogni personaggio con cui ho "vissuto", anche se in modo virtuale un periodo della mia vita, allietando lunghi inverni con le mie ricerche".
