Kristensen's original doctoral thesis ("Egyptian Ideas about the Hereafter in Connection with the Gods Re and Osiris"). Lithographed in its entirety from the manuscript. Willem Brede Kristensen (1867-1953). Dutch orientalist and anthropologist of Norwegian origin. He was professor for the History of Religion at the Leiden University(1901-37) and made a special study of ancient religions and anthropology, including Egyptian beliefs. He also studied Sanskrit, Hebrew, Avestian, Phoenician and Egyptian. Kristensen's work and thought were very influential and he is considered by some as "the father of many scholars in the fields of Egyptology and comparative religion i.e. De Buck, Van der Leeuw, Bleeker, and Zandee. His most well known work was "Life out of Death" (published in Dutch as "Het leven uit den dood", 1926). His collected lectures were published as "The Meaning of Religion: Lectures in the Phenomenology of Religion" (1960). Parcelli in der Prokathedrale des lateinischen Patriarchen von Jerusalem (um 1986). Die Dokumentation besteht aus: Schriftlichen Beschreibungen der Schäden, wie Setzrisse, Salzausblühungen, Oberfächenbeschmutzungen, Übermalungen, Wasserschäden usw. jeweils Vorzustand und anzuwendende restauratorische Maßnahmen. Zahlreiche original Farb-Fotografien (Gesamtansichten, Ausschnitte, Gegenüberstellung von restauriertem und unrestauriertem Zustand, Gerüste in Chorraum, über dem Altar, im Langhaus, Vierung, Querhaus, Reparatur der Setzrisse, Putzrisse, Arbeitsgänge bei der Ergänzung einer größeren Fehlstelle, Gegenüberstellung der Maltechniken, Detailles von Wand- und Leinwandbildern in Gegenüberstellung, Putto unter der südwestl. Empore, Reinigungsschnitte, Endzustände, Abnahme der Salzschicht, Freigelegtes Mauerwerk im Putzschadensbereich u.a.) Zeichnerische Dokumentierung der Setzrisse, der Wasserschäden, Gewölbekappen mit aufgeklebten Leinwandbildern, Hohes Gewölbe: Platzierung der Engel. Engeltypen, u.a. Materialanalyse bzw. Naturwissenschaftliche Untersuchung von Putz- und Anstrichproben, ausgeführt von Dr. Elisabeth Jägers, 1986. Ringbuch mit 32 eingehefteten Seiten. Die Photos sind sehr sauber auf weiße Bögen aufgeklebt, die Texte liegen als Typoskript-Kopien vor, die s/w-Zeichnungen sind teils nachträglich handcoloriert. Alles sehr sauber und in ausgezeichnetem Zustand, keine Beschädigungen. Das Ringbuch wurde wahrscheinlich von einem/einer beteiligten RestauratorIn oder MitarbeiterIn zusammengestellt. + Die Architektur Jerusalems - 3000 Jahre heilige Stadt - Einleitung von Teddy Kollek. Mit diesem prachtvollen Werk liegt zum ersten Mal eine umfasende Betrachtung der Architektur Jerusalems von Davids erstem Tempel bis zu den Bauten der gegenwart vor. Der spannend zu lesende Text ist mit Plänen, Grundrissen und Aufrissen, Zeichnungen und Photos reich illustriert. Die ausführliche Darstellung der städtebaulichen und architektonischen Entwicklung beginnt mit der Altstadt...210 S., 27x34 cm. Mit zahlreichen farb. Abbildungen.
