M. habe ich richtig erhalten, und beeile mich Ihnen anzuzeigen, dass Sie in Betreff des Ludwig unbesorgt seyn können, die Sache ist ausgeglichen! - Meine Familie, welche Sie herzlich grüßt, ist Gott sey Dank recht wohl, auch mit meiner Gesundheit geht es recht gut! Wenn es so fort geht werde ich viel jünger werden, als ich vor meiner Krankheit war […]". - Der in Berlin geborene Lucas debütierte 1826 als Schauspieler in Linz. 1829 wechselte er nach Preßburg, von dort an das Theater an der Wien und 1834 ans Burgtheater, dem er bis an sein Lebensende angehörte. - Die eh. Datierung könnte als 1817 missverstanden werden. Anhand der Biografie muss der Brief allerdings nach 1829 datiert werden, eventuell 1851 oder 1847. - Auf Briefpapier mit gepr. Wappen und gepr. Zierrand.

Seit 1868 Mitglied der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, wurde er 1872 Vorsitzender des Komitees zur Gründung des Sophienspitals in Wien; daneben war Vivenot Direktor des Unterstützungsvereins für Witwen und Waisen des medizinischen Doktor-Collegiums. - Ohne die erwähnte Aufmerksamkeit. - In altem Sammlungsumschlag.

Wilhelmi und Dr. Neumann um für einen wohlthätigen Zweck zu spielen, bey meiner Zurückkunft erfahre ich soeben daß der schöne Carl La Roche auf einige Tage nach Gloggnitz gereist ist um dort in ländlicher Einsamkeit zu studiren, oder zu buchstabiren - - letzteres ist mir wahrscheinlicher; übrigens ist er sehr rege, wir werden diesen Sommer wieder eine Reise zusammen machen, vorläufig ist Nürnberg das Ziel, mir scheint aber, wir werden ein Stückchen weiter kommen. "Nach Jahren als Ensemblemitglied in Prag erhielt sie 1861 auf Anregung Giacomo Meyerbeers einen Vertrag in Berlin, den sie nach beispiellosen Erfolgen 1872 brach, um Gastspielreisen durch Europa und Amerika zu unternehmen. 1874 kehrte sie nach Wien zurück und sang bis 1889 an der Wiener Hofoper, deren Ehrenmitglied sie wurde" (DBE).

An die namentlich nicht genannte Winnaretta Singer, Princess Edmond de Polignac, der er Karten für den Ibsenzyklus zukommen läßt und die er über die Vorstellungstermine von "Nora oder Ein Puppenheim", "Hedda Gabler" und "Rosmersholm" informiert. Die Aufführungen hätten nichts mit dem Boulevardtheater zu tun und seien in keiner Zeitung erwähnt, ihre Freunde würden zweimal im Monat über ein Schreiben, die Zeitschrift "L'œuvre" oder telegraphisch informiert: "Inclus les cartes touchant le Cycle Ibsen. Les représentations de chaque pièce sont données cing à six fois chaque […]. Hedda sera donnée les 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 [...] Rosmers[holm] le 7. Fin du mois Nora, reprise de Hedda et de Rosmer! - Nos séances n'ont aucun contact avec le Boulevard ou les journaux; nos amis sont informés par une feuille bi mensuelle, la revue de 'L'œuvre', ou …le télégraphe!" - Aurelien Lugné-Poe war Gründer und Leiter von "La Maison de l'Œuvre" (auch "Le Théâtre de l'Œuvre") (1893-1929), das vornehmlich Werke von Maeterlinck, Claudel, Wilde, Ibsen, Strindberg, Hauptmann und Jarry inszenierte. - Winnaretta Singer (1865-1943), eine Tochter des Erfinders und Unternehmers Isaac Merritt Singer - der sein Vermögen mit der Nähmaschinenfabrik I. M. Singer & Company begründet hatte -, war in zweiter Ehe mit dem Komponisten und Edelmann Edmond de Polignac verheiratet gewesen. Als Mäzenatin vergab sie wiederholt Auftragsarbeiten an junge Komponisten wie Igor Strawinski ("Renard") und Erik Satie ("Socrate") und förderte u. a. Nadia Boulanger, Clara Haskil, Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz, Ethel Smyth, Adela Maddison, die Ballets Russes, die Pariser Oper und das Orchestre Symphonique de Paris; in ihrem Salon verkehrten u. a. Marcel Proust, Jean Cocteau, Claude Monet, John Singer Sargent, Sergei Djagilew und Colette; Manuel de Fallas "El retablo de maese Pedro" wurde in ihrem Haus uraufgeführt. "Nach dem Selbstmord ihrer Schwester Isabelle im Jahre 1896 übernahm sie die Erziehung von deren Tochter, die als Daisy Fellowes zu einer der wichtigsten Gesellschaftsgrößen des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde. Von 1923 bis zu ihrem Tode war ihre Lebensgefährtin Violet Trefusis [...] Ihre Gemäldesammlung, zu der neben Édouard Manets ‚Die Lektüre' auch einige Gemälde von Claude Monet gehörten, gelangte 1944 als ihr Vermächtnis in den Louvre" (Wikipedia). - Auf Briefpapier mit gedr.
