The presentation of the products-consequently disassembled into their individual parts-is a stylistic device that directs the attention of the reader to precise individual solutions and concise formal expressions. Details truly come to the fore.Nils Holger Moormann's furniture is inspired by the central themes of intelligence, innovation, simplicity, and mobility. It can, for the most part, be disassembled and is designed for assembly without tools. Thus, the individual connecting elements gain an even greater significance. Werkbericht (literally 'work report') also highlights their functional and aesthetic form.The 200-page book is comprised of two parts, which differ not only in their graphic presentation, but also in the type of paper and typeface used. ‎(= Collection documentaire d`art moderne). - Erste Ausgabe, mit einer 4-zeiligen signierten und datierten Widmung von Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann im Text. - Emile Jacques Ruhlmann (1879 - 1933), der niemals an Massenproduktion interessiert war, fertigte seine Möbel in der großen handwerklichen Tradition der französischen Ebenisten des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die Verwendung von ausgesuchten exotischen Holzarten, wie Makassar, Amboina oder Rosenholz, kombiniert mit Schildpatt, Perlmutt, Elfenbein, Lack, war das Merkmal seiner formal schlichten, aber raffiniert-luxuriösen Möbelschöpfungen. Auf der Internationalen Ausstellung zum modernen Kunstgewerbe in Paris 1925 richtete er den Pavillon Hotel d` un collectionneur, das Haus eines Sammlers, ein. Ruhlmann, der sich als "ensemblier" verstand und dessen Luxuskunst im Zeichen des sich anbahnenden Funktionalismus eigentlich unzeitgemäß erschien, führte die französische Möbelkunst zu einem letzten, glanzvollen Höhepunkt. - Papierbedingt gebräunt, vereinzelt leicht fingerfleckig. Vereinzelt minimale Randläsuren. - Beiliegend eine Carte de Visite von Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann mit einer eigenhändigen 2-zeiligen Nachricht.‎
