Johnson's poems are superimposed on a background "pulp painting" by Claire Van Vliet and Kathryn Clark executed at the Twinrocker Handmade Paper Mill with letterpress executed at the Janus Press. In addition to 150 numbered copies signed by the artist this is one of an unknown number of copies marked as "proof A.C." and signed by Van Vliet. The painting depicts a snowy winter landscape at moonrise executed in soft blues green and lilac.
