Patterned pale rose coloured cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and a gilt medallion centered on the front board. The text block head edge is stained to match as issued. One red book mark ribbon loosely laid in. Illustrated with 60 full colour and full page reproductions and photographs including the frontis and the end paper illustrations. Fifty-nine meditations in all followed by a 1 page "Relation between the liturgical year and the calendar year" 8 pages of notes and a 5 page index. Some tape damage to the margins of the paste down end papers where the acetate jacket had been fastened. Previous owner's name on the recto of the frontis piece mild wear to the board corners and spine tips otherwise clean with a sound binding. The acetate jacket is present and has a small crumple in the tail edge and a tear in one of the spine folds. The original box is also present with the bottom half being very good while the top half has been tape repaired and in a poor condition. None the less a quite handsome book. . John J. Printed in a large font size for ease of reading during the liturgy. The chants use Gregorian notation and I am presuming this is the Solesmes chant. The interior is very clean and the binding is solid. Bookseller's label on the front paste down end paper as is the previous owner's stamp Canadian Military Vicariate.
