Hardcover. 12mo - 19 x 13 cm.; xix 467 pp. First written in French by Mrs. Craven a close friend of Lady Fullerton Coleridge then put together this edition which is somewhere between a translation and an original work. Second edition revised. The text of a note to Mrs. Craven from John Henry Cardinal Newman is included in which he says "Since I have been a Catholic I have looked upon her Fullerton with reverence and admiration for her saintly life . . ." Fullerton 1812-1885 was an English novelist and a convert to Roman Catholicism. Frontis photo exerpts from correspondence.
