‎Francesca Barone presenta la prima edizione critica delle omelie De Davide et Saule di Giovanni Crisostomo. Delle omelie, che appartengono al periodo successivo alla Pasqua del 387, vengono esaminate la tradizione diretta, la tradizione indiretta, nonche la storia delle edizioni moderne. Il testo risulta tradito da 41 testimoni, la cui collazione integrale ha consentito di inferire l'esistenza di cinque diverse famiglie. Al di fuori di tali raggruppamenti si collocano due codici, il Mytilene Mone Leimonos 32, del X-XI secolo e il Monacensis Gr. 6, del X secolo. La tradizione indiretta si articola in tre rami: 1. l'omelia pseudocrisostomica Contra theatra, sulla quale non esistono studi e che pertanto non e ancora datata ne e stata attribuita ad alcuno. L'omelia riprende la digressione contro gli spettacoli con cui inizia la terza omelia De Davide et Saule. 2. le Eclogae, una raccolta di componimenti a carattere morale composta nel X secolo da Theodoro Dafnopate a partire da stralci di omelie del Crisostomo (autentiche, o che il compositore riteneva tali); 3. una versione in copto sahidico della De Davide et Saule 3, tradita dal papiro VIII Orlandi, conservato presso il Museo Egizio di Torino. Quanto alla storia delle edizioni moderne, viene analizzato il testo edito da Savilio, Fronton du Duc, Montfaucon, Migne, vengono analizzate le relazioni fra gli editori, e quelle tra il loro testo e la tradizione mss. superstite. ‎Il volume presenta una nuova edizione critica dei commenti paolini di Girolamo alla Lettera a Tito e alla Lettera a Filemone, per i quali sinora si e ricorso all'edizione veronese di Domenico Vallarsi (1734-17421), ristampata successivamente nelle due edizioni della Patrologia Latina. I due piu brevi commenti geronimiani a Paolo, composti a Betlemme verso il 386, sono stati trasmessi dalla stessa tradizione manoscritta, che si e mostrata bipartita fin dall'origine in due famiglie. Sulla suddivisione in due rami e stata avanzata una valida spiegazione storica e per ciascuno di essi e stato riportato, nell'introduzione, un cospicuo elenco di errori comuni, onde poter ricostruire un ipotetico stemma codicum. Le edizioni proposte si basano su un'analisi approfondita di tutti i codici di cui disponiamo che tramandano i suddetti testi. Nell'ambito del lavoro svolto non e stato trascurato inoltre il ricorso alle edizioni antiche piu autorevoli. La raccolta dei testimoni diretti e stata operata facendo riferimento inizialmente al catalogo di B. Lambert, Bibliotheca Hieronymiana Manuscripta. La tradition manuscrite des oeuvres de Saint Jerome, I-IV (= Instrumenta Patristica IV), Steenbrugge, 1969-1972. Per la preparazione del testo critico ci si e avvalsi della collazione integrale di undici manoscritti, selezionati secondo precisi criteri di ordine cronologico e geografico, e della collazione parziale, ossia limitata a determinati loci critici, dei restanti, che sono circa una sessantina. L'edizione presentata e corredata di un apparato critico, redatto in forma mista, ma prevalentemente negativa, di un apparato delle citazioni bibliche, che e stato completamente riformulato rispetto a quello della precedente edizione di Vallarsi, dimostratosi poco affidabile e incompleto, e di un apparato indicante le citazioni e le allusioni agli autori della tradizione classica e cristiana. Le edizioni sono precedute da uno studio introduttivo, dove e stato dedicato ampio spazio alla contestualizzazione delle opere in riferimento sia al loro autore, sia al momento storico-culturale nel quale si collocano. L'introduzione si articola in cinque capitoli. Nel primo capitolo si e cercato soprattutto di fornire ai commenti di Girolamo un adeguato contesto storico in relazione agli altri commenti a Paolo da lui composti (in Gal., in Eph.), e in relazione ai commenti paolini contemporanei, che fiorirono in Oriente e in Occidente; e stato inoltre affrontato il problema delle fonti, anche operando le opportune verifiche dei frammenti catenari su Paolo pervenuti. Nel secondo e terzo capitolo e stata analizzata la ratio ermenutica applicata da Girolamo nell'interpretazione delle due lettere paoline, e sono state illustrate e approfondite le piu importanti tematiche emergenti. Gli ultimi due capitoli sono stati riservati ad un'accurata analisi della tradizione manoscritta. In essi sono presenti anche diverse annotazioni di critica testuale, relative ai passi del testo di in Tit. e di in Philem. piu interessanti, da un punto di vista prettamente filologico; queste note, che non hanno la pretesa di essere esaustive, sono intenzionate a fornire alcune indicazioni piu concrete sui criteri scientifici che hanno guidato il lavoro dell'edizione. Des trois manicheens africains connus par les controverses, avec Faustus et Felix, le pretre Fortunatus apparait comme le plus proche de la mentalite moderne. Il ne manque meme pas de cet humour caustique si apprecie en Afrique et dont les recits picaresques d'Apulee de Madaure fournissent un bon exemple.‎

‎Der vorliegende Band XIX und der ubernachste Band XXI dieser Edition enthalten die Werke, die Llull zwischen seinem Aufenthalt in Paris und seiner Reise nach Zypern geschrieben hat. Ein Teil der literarischen Produktion dieser Zeit ist in katalanischen Versen geschrieben und weist sehr sparliche lateinische Tradition auf. In diesem Band erscheinen zunachst die Principia philosophiae(op. 86), ein Werk, das Llull in Paris angefangen hatte und erst in Mallorca fortsetzte, das er aber vorzeitig beendete, ohne seinen noch umfangreicheren ursprunglichen Plan verwirklicht zu haben. Nach diesem grossen aber unvollstandigen Werk werden die lateinischen Zeugnisse der Dictat de Ramon (Dictatum Raimundi) und des Coment del dictat(Dictati commentum)(op. 87-88) editiert. Es handelt sich um ein Gedicht von 276 Versen und einen Kommentar dazu in Prosa, geschrieben in Barcelona. Von dem am selben Ort und zur selben Zeit verfassten Libre de oracions (Liber de orationibus)(op.89) -ein fur die aragonesische Konigsfamilie geschriebenes Gebetbuch -geben wir nur eine kurze Notiz, da keine lateinische Fassung desselben vorhanden ist. Der Band enthalt noch zwei lateinische Fragmente -Dictatum de trinitate und Liber de oratione- des umfangreichen in katalanischen Versen verfassten Werkes Medicina de pecat (Medicina peccati)(op.90) und schliesslich noch den Tractatus compendiosus de articulis fidei catholicae(op.91), eine von Llull veranlasste lateinische Neufassung des Dictati commentum. Die zwei lezten Werke wurden im Juli 1300 in Palma de Mallorca abgeschlossen. Alle in diesem Band veroffentlichten Werke sind in ihrer lateinischen Fassung uneditiert und teilweise vollig unbekant. Im bereits im Druck befindlichen Band XXI werden die insgesamt bekannteren, ab dem Sommer 1300 bis zum Fruhjahr 1301 verfassten Werke herausgegeben (ROL 92-96). Languages: Latin.‎
