Endpapers have the shadow of a bookplate removal. No names or other marks in text. Typical scuffing to marbled paper over the boards. Leather is moderately scuffed. see photos Priority shipping recommended. Sir James Brooke 1803-1868 was an army officer and the first Rajah of Sarawak from 1841. Mundy accompanied Sir Thomas John Cochrane to Borneo in 1846 where in co-operation with Brooke set against the rebellion of Borneo pirate tribes. Much of that detail is included here.
