Diplomatic memoirs of Ali Fuat Cebesoy was a Turkish officer, politician and statesman. Ali Fuat Pasha organized the resistance in Western Turkey against the Greek invasion and thus actually started the National Independence War. He contributed to the resistance forces against the Greek army that had begun to occupy Western Anatolia. He signed Amasya Protocol and at the end of the Sivas Congress in 1920, he was appointed as the general commander of the National Forces by the Board of Representatives. The presence of him and his army in Ankara is the reason behind Atatürk's choice of this city as the center of Turkish War of Independence. The same year, he was elected as a deputy at the First Parliament. He was appointed ambassador to Moscow, Soviet Union in 1921, as he had quarrels with Ismet Inonu, who was appointed by Atatürk as the Commander of the Western Front although Inonu had failed against Greek invasion at Kutahya-Altintas in 1921. By personally negotiating with Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin in Moscow, he signed the Treaty of Moscow (1921) along the lines of the Brest-Litovsk Peace Treaty as the representative of the Ankara government, which provided financial and military support from the Soviet Union to the Turkish Independence War, in exchange for the return of Batum back to Soviet Union. After finishing his duty as an ambassador, he was elected as the second spokesman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

'Scenes from Tsarist Russia: 19th Century Russian Classics from the State Russian Museum Collection, not only presented art lovers with a selection of masterpieces being displayed for the first time in Turkey, but also offered scenes of Russian history through Russian Realist paintings. The masterpieces from the rich collection from the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg reflected every aspect of life including labour and poverty, the world of children, public festivals, war and death, scenes from bourgeois life, and revolution. In literature, music, and fine arts, the "Russian spirit" is depicted as a world of emotions in which love, sorrow, and death run rampant. After the 1860s, Realist conventions came to dominate the genre scenes. Progressive artists of Russia began portraying the fundamental problems of the period such as social injustice, serfdom (until 1861, peasants were considered as property of landowners in Russia), child labor, subjugation of women, and poverty. Daily life hence became a point of interest in art. In the 1870s and particularly after the 1880s, a more positive attitude came into view; the artists gradually diverged from depicting painful worlds. The public was no longer the victim, but a powerful subject. A tendency to poeticize folklore, as well as the public perception of nature and the universe began to emerge. Social problems were addressed in their entirety; analysis replaced condemnation. This study has been prepared after researches lasted several years in archives and libraries of the Russian Federation. The documentary aspect of this long-lasting study is especially based on the documents found in the Archive of the Russian Empire Foreign Policy, the Russian State Military History Archive, the Russian Federation State Archive in Moscow, and the Russian State History Archive in Saint Petersburg. Library research within the scope of the study was carried out in the Russian National Library, Library of the Academy of Sciences, Library of the Institute of the Oriental Studies in Saint Petersburg, and in the Russian State Library (previously Lenin Library) in Moscow. Besides Russian sources, the studies of Armenian historians and authors written in the Russian language during the Tsarist and Soviet eras have also been thoroughly examined in our research. This is the first extensive study carried out in eight different Russian archives on the process of the emergence of the Armenian Question.

'Scenes from Tsarist Russia: 19th Century Russian Classics from the State Russian Museum Collection, not only presented art lovers with a selection of masterpieces being displayed for the first time in Turkey, but also offered scenes of Russian history through Russian Realist paintings. The masterpieces from the rich collection from the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg reflected every aspect of life including labour and poverty, the world of children, public festivals, war and death, scenes from bourgeois life, and revolution. In literature, music, and fine arts, the "Russian spirit" is depicted as a world of emotions in which love, sorrow, and death run rampant. After the 1860s, Realist conventions came to dominate the genre scenes. Progressive artists of Russia began portraying the fundamental problems of the period such as social injustice, serfdom (until 1861, peasants were considered as property of landowners in Russia), child labor, subjugation of women, and poverty. Daily life hence became a point of interest in art. In the 1870s and particularly after the 1880s, a more positive attitude came into view; the artists gradually diverged from depicting painful worlds. The public was no longer the victim, but a powerful subject. A tendency to poeticize folklore, as well as the public perception of nature and the universe began to emerge. Social problems were addressed in their entirety; analysis replaced condemnation.
