Gray coloured boards with the red titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. The inside story of smuggling via the then relatively new transport mode of aeroplanes as seen by and fought against by the author and his fellow workers. Softening and fading to the backstrip and rubbing it to the lower book edges. Browning to the textblock edges and some dust marks to the top edge. The first insert of black-and-white photographs on page 64 is in terrible shape. It has been torn in two and the resultant sections have been put together by a previous owner with tape. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and top backstrip edge. There is a 0.75 " tear to the top left-hand corner of the dustwrapper with associated creasing. The dustwrapper is rubbed and that the panel shows browning. This book is an ex-library copy Police Library and has all the faults of the same. Library stamps to the endpapers and throughout the text. Due Date and pocket inserts are affixed to the rear endpaper. The dustwrapper has library markings to the lower edge.
