‎L’histoire des Services de Renseignements de l’Armée de l’Air, dirigé après 1940 par le colonel Ronin, et qui depuis la France occupée et l’A.F.N. apportèrent au Commandement Allié des informations précieuses... — "Voici révélé l'efficace et héroïque travail accompli par le Service de Renseignements de l'Armée de l'Air. Dès 1930. les pionniers de cette organisation nouvelle dénoncent le réarmement de l'aviation allemande et l'évolution de ses techniques. Après la défaite de 1940, plus que tous autres, conscients de l'importance décisive de l'aviation dans l'issue de la guerre, des aviateurs se groupent à l'appel d'un chef prestigieux, le colonel Ronin. A la pointe de la résistance française, ils se lancent dans la recherche du renseignement au bénéfice de l'aviation britannique (R.A.F.). Les premiers, les réseaux du S.R. Jusqu'au 8 mai 1945, ils apportent au Commandement allié une moisson d'informations d'une valeur inestimable. Moins connu du grand public que le S.R issu du fameux 2e Bureau ou que le B.C.R.A. de Londres, le S.R. Air a cependant à son actif dans le domaine du renseignement des résultats d'une qualité au moins égale. On reste confondu devant les exploits sans cesse renouvelés de ces soldats inconnus de la guerre secrète.
