The author's grandparents George and Veta Priester were the models for the story though and an accompanying Typed Letter Signed from George Priester's son Charles presents this copy of the book and explains his parents' role; in addition a copy of a photograph of his parents in their youth standing in front of an early airplane has been affixed to the front flyleaf.
