Représentation de l’accueil réservé au roi par les populations de Lisieux et Evreux, lors de sa visite dans ces villes, en 1833 (Louis-Philippe a effectué un voyage en Normadie du 26 août au 12 septembre. Il s’est notamment rendu à Évreux, Lisieux, Falaise, Granville, Saint-Lô, Cherbourg, Bayeux, Caen, Rouen, Louviers, Le Havre). A gche se trouve le trône royal, au sommet de plusieurs marches. Ses pieds de devant sont sculptés en forme de tête de d’Argout, muni d’une trompe d’éléphant. Les accoudoirs sont sculptés en forme de seringues à clystère, et le dossier est marqué du mongramme de Louis-Philippe (« LP » entrecroisés). Au-dessus du dossier est posé une couronne surmontée d’un lampadaire tenu par Soult et Guizot ( ?). Derrière le trône se trouve un monumental arc de triomphe portant le nom des deux villes accueillantes (« EVREUX. » et « LISIEUX. »). Une frise décorative est composée d’une fleur de lys, d’une seringue à clystère, d’une poire entourée de fleur de lys et d’un coq. Dessous, un bas-relief d’un parapluie croisant une arme, et par-dessus un chapeau portant la cocarde tricolore. Dessous, une poignée de mains. Sur la base de l’arc, un motif de coffre fermé d’un cadenas, et en dessous, des sacs d’écus (« 1,000. »). Devant l’arc de triomphe, au premier plan, Viennet chevauchant un âne. Il tient une lyre en forme de poire entre les mains, porte une redingote dont le dos est marqué de l’inscription « IMPOPULARITE // MEPRIS ». Derrière lui, sur la selle est accroché un rouleau de son « EPÎTRE » surmonté d’un livre. Enfin, une petite plume d’écrivain est accrochée à sa chaussure. Tous ces éléments sont une référence à son ouvrage Epître aux mules de Don Miguel. Au second plan, des membres de la population acclament le roi : « les Constituées et les tamerlans, jusqu’aux femmes idolâtres de la royauté qu’elles ont élevé sur le pavois. » (des femmes vêtues en habit traditionnel). Au centre, au premier plan, des militaires se tiennent bien droit et portent leurs fusils devant eux. L’un, petit, tient un sabre sur le côté. Un autre, grand et peu élégant, derrière le groupe, tient le drapeau tricolore.
