Il sont agrémentés de 16 vignettes, pour l'un, de 21 vignettes, pour l'autre. Toutes en relief, en couleurs et hors-texte réalisées par Marcel PAUTOT. Les textes sont signés Francis de Miomandre, Henri Puvis de Chavannes, Pierre de Sentenac, J. Pourtal de Ladevèze, François Carnot, Bernard Barbery, Mario-Meunier, Henri Vendel, Madeleine Luce, Paul Forestier, Michel Puisaye, Paul Reboux, Marguerite Burnat-Provins, Pierre Rocher, etc. Infimes rousseurs, plis à la couverture, usures à la vignette en couleurs, brochage fragile. Envois datés de l'artiste sur les deux ouvrages. Tirages limités à 550 exemplaires. Un des 50 exemplaires avec une esquisse originale en couleurs ayant servi à la composition des vignettes pour Images de Provence. ‎Louis Pélabon, né à Toulon en 1814, était ouvrier-voilier à l'Arsenal de Toulon. Auteur de nombreux ouvrages en provençal ou, en français, comme ceux que nous présentons. Il a notamment participé à la rédaction du journal lo Bouil-Abaisso de Joseph DÉSANAT. Son fils Constant, né en 1837, Capitaine au 2e bataillon des Mobiles du Var, après bien des aventures militaires dont il sortit indemne, devait mourir le 5 février 1871 entre Sanary et Bandol dans l'explosion de plusieurs barils de poudre transportés par le train de voyageurs dans lequel il était.‎
