"Je suis bien heureux d'envoyer mon autographe á une charmante admiratrice". - Arimondi wurde nach seinem Debüt am Stadttheater von Varese 1883 zu einem der gefragtesten Bassisten seiner Zeit, der von Südamerika bis St. Petersburg recht flächendeckend an allen großen Häusern zu hören war; 1895 sang er in einem Hofkonzert auf Schloß Windsor vor Königin Victoria von England. Gegen Ende seiner Laufbahn wirkte er mehrere Jahre an der Oper von Chicago, wo er auch zugleich als Gesangspädagoge unterrichtete.
