Présentation de l'éditeur: En collaboration avec l'association le LOcal, voici un superbe ouvrage sur les instruments du Moyen Age, avec l'instrumentarium de Chartres, écrit par Xavier Terrasa. Le répertoire du Moyen Âge - Ve au Xve siècle, parfois familier à nos oreilles, est le socle de notre patrimoine musical occidental. Il s'est bâti au gré des inventions successives des théoriciens et des musiciens. Limité par les sources disponibles, il est pourtant d'une étonnante richesse et d'une très grande diversité. Mais, de ce Moyen Âge lointain, il ne nous est parvenu aucun instrument de musique complet antérieur au Xve siècle.
