This is a rare item as such and represents H-P's break-through product in 1951 the first modern frequency counter highly successful as measuring and test devices of electronic circuitry. This counter reduces the time required to measure high frequencies from ten minutes to less than two seconds. One application of this device is for radio stations to accurately set their broadcast frequncies for FCC compliance of frequency stability. H-P made so much money selling these to the various stations the capital gained enabled the firm to go public with stock offerings in 1957. A major revenue item for this pre-Silicon Valley company.
