Quando esplose il rock'n'roll qui da noi, anche personaggi come Giorgio Gaber o Luigi Tenco si cimentarono, giovanissimi, con la nuova travolgente musica. E con loro tanti altri. Ma Little Tony lo ha fatto meglio e lo ha fatto per tutta la vita, sempre fedele a se stesso e assumendo una connotazione rock anche nel look. Questo libro, che colma un'evidente lacuna nel mercato editoriale italiano, racconta gli aspetti più importanti della sua storia di uomo e di artista. Il racconto è arricchito dalle parole di chi lo ha conosciuto e lo ha amato: il suo primo biografo, che scrisse un breve libro su di lui nel 1970, gli amici più intimi, il parrucchiere e il meccanico di fiducia, musicisti che hanno lavorato con lui, registi che lo hanno diretto in veste occasionale di attore, collezionisti, l'amicone di sempre Bobby Solo. E infine il cantautore italiano per eccellenza, Francesco De Gregori, che ha raccontato la genesi della dolcissima "Come un anno fa" e, con reverenza, ha ammesso che un artista come Little Tony, la cui popolarità era calata proprio con l'avvento dei cantautori, andrebbe necessariamente rivalutato. Questa biografia ha l'ambizione di delineare finalmente un profilo giusto e veritiero del Grande Tony.
