Intorno alla metà degli anni Settanta, nel mondo il nome Premiata Forneria Marconi (per molti semplicemente PFM) era sinonimo di rock italiano. PFM, infatti, è stato l'unico gruppo che ha avuto successo all'estero. Forse per che, contrariamente a molte band di allora e di oggi, PFM non cantava canzoni: suonava musica, e lo faceva davvero bene. E questa è da sempre una sua caratteristica: l'entusiasmo nel cercare nuove possibilità sonore, nuove soluzioni compositive, ogni volta interpretate in maniera diversa. Il batterista e frontman del gruppo, Franz Di Cioccio, ci narra in questo libro la storia della mitica band: tra aneddoti e indiscrezioni, scherzi e incidenti sul palco, dubbi, litigi e occasioni colte e sfumate, si snoda un racconto che corre su un binario parallelo ai mutamenti della società, del mercato musicale, dei costumi giovanili.
