‎Histoire de l'amitié qui unit Feli, petit garçon européen vivant avec ses parents au Cameroun, avec un éléphant. Édition originale cartonnée de ce conte pour enfants de Pierre Mille (1864-1941) illustré par Alexandre Iacovleff et lithographié dans une bichromie en noir et ocre. Usures d'usages, épidermures, salissures et rousseurs. L'artiste russe Alexandre Iacovleff (Saint Petersbourg 1887-1938 Paris) revient en Europe lors de la révolution d'octobre et participe en tant qu'illustrateur aux revues La Gazette du Bon Ton et les Feuillets d'Art. Sa participation en tant que peintre officiel des Croisières Citroën Noire et Jaune l'immortalise. Le Musée des Années 30 lui consacra une rétrospective en 2004. Cet ouvrage est son dernier travail dont on retrouve l'influence de la croisière Noire.‎

Mouillure très claire marginale à quelques planches, déchirure sans manque à la dernière avec réparation .‎

‎Jacques Milbert ,peintre , embarqué sur la Corvette le Géographe , pour participer à l’expédition aux terres australes de Nicolas Baudin , il dut quitter le voyage pour raison de santé , il demeura à l’Île-de-France pendant 2 ans , jusqu’au retour de la corvette Le Géographe qui le ramena en France. Il livre le résultat de ses observations , qui touchent à l'administration des gouverneurs La Bourdonnaye et Poivre, au climat, à la géographie, à la population : Esclaves africains, indiens, malgaches, chinois, noirs marrons, sauvages des îles Sandwich ,il décrit les sites en détail après avoir sillonné l’île dans tous les sens , donnant une vision vivante et colorée de la société mauricienne .‎
