Il motore della "Fiat 505" derivava dal quattro cilindri dell'antenata, ma aveva cilindrata maggiore, 2296 cm³ da 30 cv e 80 km/h. Più ispetto all'antenata 501, furono aumentate anche le dimensioni. La trasmissione era a quattro rapporti. Fabbricata in diverse versioni, berlina, torpedo, cabriolet, camioncino, ecc., più di 30.000 esemplari.
