In un piccolo porto presso Marsiglia, i doganieri accertavano che un'automobile giaceva a dodici metri di profondità. Allora due uomini “rana” scendevano per fissare alla macchina gli uncini di una gru che la tirasse alla superficie e nel far questo scoprivano che altre automobili giacevano nel fondo: un vero cimitero subacqueo di automobili.

Presso Monte Maggiore (Trieste) per evitare un altro veicolo, un'auto sterzava violentemente precipitando in un burrone. Per vera fortuna, il guidatore e un passeggero poterono, con molta presenza di spirito, aggrapparsi a due tronchi d'albero, uscendo così incolumi dalla paurosa avventura.

Un furto eccezionale. L'automobile carica di quadri di gran pregio e di gioielli antichi era stata lasciata per qualche momento incustodita in una via semideserta di Toledo nell'Ohio (Stati Uniti) e un ladro riusciva ad aprire lo sportello. Ma, forse indeciso fra tanti tesori, rubava soltanto una grossa Bibbia lasciata dal proprietario sul sedile posteriore.
