Illustrato da 28 tavole fuori testo: frontespizio con bella veduta, carta topogr. ripiegata colorata a mano, pianta di Lione, 25 vedute a piena pag. impresse in bistro, il tutto inc. in rame all'acquatinta da Jean François Albanis de Beaumont. Stupende vedute di città e di paesaggi alpini (Lione, Ginevra, Cluse, Lusanne, Vevey, Sion, S. Gottardo, Martigny, S. Bernardo, etc.). Prima edizione di questa dettagliata relazione di viaggio nelle Alpi Lepontine, artisticamente illustrata. L'autore, ottimo artista di origini savoiarde (Chambery 1753-1811), fu ufficiale di Carlo Emanuele IV, e pubblicò oltre alla presente, altre tre opere analoghe, sulle alpi Cozie, Graie e Marittime.
