Livre VIII: Maison de Bourbon, Henri IV et Louis XIII 1590-1643, pages 329 à 357. V. Plus de titre, 15 pp. chiffrées et 28 pp. non chiffrées. Il semble que l'auteur n'a pu finir son ouvrage. Vers 1860. Ensemble de plus de 400 pages in-4 (235 x 360 mm) non reliées, à l'écriture très lisible, mais variable passant de la calligraphie à une cursive droite ou en italique, parfois très soignée, plus brouillonne dans les dernières pages. Ratures et corrections surtout à partir du livre 7, de plus en plus nombreuses en fin d'ouvrage. Les dernières feuilles sont souvent abîmées sur les bords sans perte de texte.

Calendar of the Stuart Papers belonging to His Majesty The King Preserved at Windsor Castle. Volume 1
London: His Majesty's Stationery Office 1902 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. ciii introduction pp 1-616. These papers dating from 1579-1716 were formerly the property of the titular James III the Old Pretender and his sons Charles Edward The Young Pretender and Henry the Cardinal Duke of York. An account is given of their acquisition by the Prince Regent for the Windsor Castle Library along with a long general description of the collection. This edition is bound in blue boards with a leather spine gilt titles and marbled edges. The leather is rubbed especially to the head and foot but the boards are clean with little wear; The binding is tight and the text is near fine with crisp pages some spotting to preliminaries.
