Bibliothekssignatur, Spiegel mit hs. Angaben zum Autor und Inhaltsverzeichnis (die Bibl. wurde um 2000 insgesamt verkauft) / Exlibris Peter E. Obergfell, schwarzer Leineneinband mit hs. Titelschildchen und Bibl.- Signatur auf Vorderdeckel, leicht fleckig, an Unterkanten etwas aufgeplatzt, ansonsten guter fester Zustand.‎

‎Dieses schwarze Büchlein begleitete seinen Besitzer auf so manche Bergtour. Es enthält fein gravierte Bergpanoramen und farbige Karten aus H.A. Berlepschs ,Illustrirtem Schweizer-Führer’ (Meyer’s Reisebücher) sowie eine kurze handschriftliche Geschichte des Wallis von der Hand des Autors mit dem Titel ,Geschichte des Wallis nach Furrer u.a.’. Wick trug die Daten, an denen er selbst auf den Gipfeln stand, mit Bleistift in die Panoramen ein. Er ergänzte sogar einen Gipfel mit Namen und Fragezeichen auf einem der Panoramen. Emil Wick (gest. 1894) ist höchstwahrscheinlich der berühmte Basler Mechaniker, Optiker und Pionier der Daguerreotypie (1816-1894), welcher durch sein Werk zu bescheidenem Wohlstand kam und ab 1861 seine Werkstatt verkaufte und sich nun ganz seinen Liebhabereien und dem Reisen widmete.
