Hardcover no dust jacket. publishers binding of brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and front board in very good condition with a little rubbing to top tail and sides of spine with a few marks to boards. Inside front hinge a little weak although binding still solid and sound all pages and plates in very good clean and bright condition. A very nice copy of a book penned by Philippe Bunau-Varilla Panama's minister to the United States November 1903 who was often vilified; although Bunau-Varilla was really a "third party" he dealt unfairly with the country he supposedly represented.
