It is only slipped in and is usually lost early on. Signed and dated 1918 Registry No G 2840. 9 5/8 inches tall. 30 inches of shelf space. VERY GOOD condition. The leather is supple and fresh. The hinges are all fully and strongly attached. Some general shelf wear and abrasion. Printed on quality paper that is fresh bright and clean. These are heavy books. Appears free of foxing. Besitzvermerk und Bücherfluch, datiert 1612: Der durch ebendiesen dokumentierte Vorbesitzer Georg Haan ist wohl mit dem 1628 hingerichteten Kanzler im Hochstift Bamberg zu identifizieren, der gemeinsam mit seiner Famile Opfer der Bamberger Hexenprozesse wurde, die zwischen 1612 und 1631 knapp 1000 Menschenleben forderten.
