EARLY HENRY FRANCIS CARY TRANSLATION Cary's 1st translation was published in 1814; New Edition Corrected. The book features leather covers a beautiful hubbed spine with gilt decorations marbled end papers and a marbled text block on all sides and a frontispiece portrait of Dante. Includes the "Life of Dante" as well as a "Chronological View of the Age of Dante."<br /><br />Condition:<br />There are some tiny white stain specks on the front cover; clean back cover; the spine label has partially chipped; bright gilt designs on the spine. Tight binding. The text pages are in great condition with no foxing stains or tears; there is a name in pencil at the top of the title page - no other writing found.
