In good plus half dark green leather and blue and tan marbled boards red leather title field to spine with gilt titles and four raised horizontal bands edged in gilt. The boards are even; front cover a little loose but overall quite tight. All the sides are slightly edge-worn; leather on spine a little cracked. Slightly marked mid brown end papers; name of previous owner on front free end paper. Tiny brown bookseller's sticker from H. White And Sons Carmarthen on rear paste down. The text block is printed in two columns and from the Contents page onwards tightly bound. The pages are slightly warped and some have small marks. With marbled cut edges. Bound in period 1/2 calf over marbled boards spine decorated in gilt and blind with marbled page-ends and endpapers. Dickens' contributions to the work would include numerous articles as well as the serialization of "Hard Times" and "A Child's History of England." A dispute between Dickens and Bradbury and Evans brought about the end of the publication which was replaced with "All the Year Round." <br /> All volumes are intact with good bindings. Some edgewear a few small scuffs a few spine labels with chips mostly small one large contents overall clean with mild age-toning and occasional minor foxing. Very Good overall. AS21.
