London: None 1965. Movie tie-in. None. Very Good. Thumbtack holes in corners. Small piece missing from bottom left once folded else very good copy. Movie poster: 27 x 40 inches. The movie starred Sidney James Amanda Barrie Kenneth Williams Kenneth Connor Jim Dale Charles Hawtrey and Joan Sims. "Recommended as Adult Entertainment" according to the movie poster! This is the tenth in the long running English comedy series. The early films such as Carry on Nurse and Carry on Teacher are genuinely funny. Later ones including this one are considerably less so. Too often they descend into farce although there are always moments of magic especially when such comic geniuses as Kenneth Williams and Joan Sims are on the screen. In this one while the English are living in caves and inventing the square wheel the Romans are pursuing their libido. There are amusing pratfalls involving a bar of soap in a public bath.
(None) unknown
