Following star Connors' popular 1958-1963 Western series "The Rifleman" Connors stars as Jason McCord a former US cavalry captain who was court-martialed after being unjustly accused of cowardice. She was inducted into the National Ski Hall of Fame in 1967 and died in 2012. <br/><br/>Director Peerce's notable film debut as director "One Potato Two Potato" 1964 was a groundbreaking drama about an interracial marriage and one of the first films to portray such a relationship. He would later marry and divorce Marilyn Hassett who plays Jill in the film she won a Golden Globe for her debut role. Beau Bridges costars as her love interest. ‎Hollywood: Paramount Pictures 1971. Script archive built around the Revised First Draft script for the 1972 film. Copy belonging to Burt Bluestein with his name on the title page in holograph pencil and annotations throughout in holograph pencil and ink. Bluestein although not credited at the film's release was presumably involved with production design as indicated by the annotations concerning camera angles and props and his film credits as both assistant director and production manager. The script is accompanied by various interoffice pages like cast and crew lists emergency contact lists shooting schedules and interoffice memos including one discussing the film's hiatus and the possibility of Ron Talsky costume designer working with Otto Preminger during the hiatus. Between this script and the film's release dates Talsky did work for Preminger on his film "Such Good Friends" 1971. <br/><br/>Based on Knowles' 1959 best-selling first novel. Two young teens Finny Heyl and Gene Stevenson consider the draft if it should happen and make their way through school during WWII. <br/><br/>Shot on location in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Actor Heyl's only film credit. <br/><br/>Title page present dated 1971 noted as FIRST DRAFT Revised with credits for novelist Knowles and screenwriter Segal. 163 leaves with last leaf of text being the tenth page of a shooting schedule. Various printing methods with a few manuscript and typed pages and yellow and pink revision pages throughout dated May 1971 yellow and two pages dated Jan 1971 pink. From the Tele Cine Documentation archive originally known as the Collection Daniel Bouteiller with their sticker and a Zentropa Productions sticker to the verso. <br/><br/>A film in which the collective of main characters intentionally "spaz out" believing that emulating a person with a developmental disorder will relieve their inhibitions "The Idiots" understandably became the center of great controversy. The second Dogme 95 film a filmmaking philosophy spearheaded by von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg in which the filmmakers strove to shoot only on location using on-site sounds and natural lighting. Von Trier later admitted to breaching a number of these rules while filming "The Idiots" by using a stand-in for a sex scene moving various light sources and using an off-camera harmonica player to introduce music to a scene. ‎<p>Santa Monica California October 21st 1959. 1959. Fine. - Over 250 words typed on 10-1/2 inch high by 7-1/4 inch wide "The Oceana Apartment Hotel" stationery. Stan Laurel responds to his friend "Lee" who has written him about her 13 year old friend the teen rock & traditional pop singer Dodie Stevens who played opposite Fabian in "Hound-Dog Man" released that same year: "Am afraid your friend Dodie Stevens and her family were mistaken in seeing me at the Fox studio last month - I haven't been there for years!". He goes on to write that he's not seen Dodie's movie "as you know the only films I see now are on TV." "I shall be pleased to meet Dody sic and her Dad with you any time convenient but I doubt if I could be of much help to them in any way especially now that she has proved successful in her line." He mentions the late life marriages of such celebrities as Charles Coburn and Monte Blue and the shock of Errol Flynn's death and concludes that he "Shall be pleased to hear from you around Thanksgiving & arrange a date". Signed in full "Stan Laurel". Folded for mailing else near fine.</p><p>Part of the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy the English comic actor director and writer Stan Laurel 1890-1965 appeared in over 100 films with his comedy partner Oliver Hardy. Laurel was awarded an Academy Honorary Award in 1961 for his pioneering work in comedy.</p><p>The American rock & pop singer Dodie Stevens born in 1946 had a breakthrough hit with her 1959 song "Pink Shoe Laces" at the age of 13.
