‎Printed in USA 1961. An original colour lobby card no.5 for the 1961 science fiction-fantasy from Saxon Films based on the novels by Jules Verne and starring Vincent Price and Charles Bronsan. Condition A- slight handling dimensions approx. 13x 10 inches mounted ready for framing. Fine example. A fantasy adventure; The fabulous story of the man who conquered the earth to save it. Screenwriter Richard Matheson combined two stories by Jules Verne for this adaptation: "Clipper of the Clouds" 1886 and its sequel "Master of the World" 1904. This scene shows a crewman being winched into the Flying Warship with Robur the Conqueror Vincent Price looking on. Note on format; Lobby cards are small posters on card stock usually 11"x14" in a horizontal format generally produced in sets of eight intended for display in a cinema's foyer or lobby usually consisting title and credits bordering one of the major scenes from the movie. Apparently the only edition with English translation by A. L. Alger. This edition mostly likely unauthorized may have preceded the "authorized" 1874 Osgood edition published as DR. OX'S EXPERIMENT AND OTHER STORIES. The Gill edition was advertised as "now ready" on 11 July 1874. The Osgood edition with contents translated by George M.
