Ici, le maladroit Mulot benefice d'une indulgence inouie, tandis que la, Marie d'Ennetieres fait eclater la misogynie du reformateur. Et ainsi de suite dans une cinquantaine de rencontres. La recherche, fondee sur les sources contemporaines, offre des images contrastees. Les qualites eminentes qui caracterisent le reformateur n'empechent pas de denoncer ses defauts, dont certains sont tout aussi eminents. Cette volonte d'eviter tant la calvinolatrie que la clavinophobie donne a ces etres du passe un visage plus humain. Ces peres de la Reforme melangent projets grandioses et mesquineries tout comme les hommes d'aujourd'hui. Languages : French, Old French.‎
