Orientalisten Caussin de Perceval 1828 in Paris mit dem Hinweis im Vorwort daß sich das Werk mehr an die Franzosen als an die Araber richte Bernard Lewis Der Westen aus der Sicht des Islam S. 296. - Caussin de Perceval fils Armand Pierre Sohn des Orientalisten Jean Jacques Antoine C. de P. 1759-1835 geb. 1795 zu Paris bereiste seit 1817 die asiatische Türkei wo er ein Jahr lang unter den Maroniten des Libanon zubrachte und wurde nach seiner Rückkehr 1821 zum Lehrer des Vulgär-Arabischen an der Schule der orientalischen Sprachen zu Paris daraus 1833 zum Professor der arabischen Sprache und Litteratur am CollÄge de France und 1849 zum Mitglied der Akademie ernannt.
