In this book, Julius M. Moravcsik disputes that a natural language is not and should not be represented as a formal language. The book criticizes current philosophy of language as having an altered focus without adjusting the needed conceptual tools. It develops a new theory of lexical meaning, a new conception of cognition-humans not as information processing creatures but as primarily explanation and understanding seeking creatures-with information processing as a secondary, derivative activity. BELFOND 1998. Paperback. Very Good. Texte francais couverture souple. �tat d'usage: tr�s bon �tat. Dialogue avec mon cancer : ce titre peut surprendre. Il n'est jamais anodin de prononcer le mot "cancer" ni de l'afficher sur la couverture d'un livre. Il l'est moins encore d'engager un "t�te-�-t�te" avec ses propres cellules. Mais la voix de ceux qui choisissent de nommer l'ennemi d'en parler voire de lui parler se fait de plus en plus souvent entendre. Et si Denise Morel-Ferla affuble l'"h�te ind�licat" auquel son corps a malencontreusement "donn� asile" de divers surnoms si elle lui parle sur un ton ironique c'est pour mieux tenir cet "animal de crabe" � distance et le prier poliment de bien vouloir "d�guerpir". L'humour et l'autod�rision sont ici l'un des visages du courage. Courage face aux traitements auxquels il faut se soumettre ; courage aussi face aux maux du pass� que l'�preuve actuelle vient r�veiller. Ce dialogue avec ses cellules m�ne l'auteur au coeur d'un dialogue avec elle-m�me o� la "po�sie des mots" devient instrument de lutte et l'acte cr�ateur acte salvateur. Car ces pages ne tiennent pas seulement du journal intime : elles sont constitu�es en r�cit offert � la lecture - un r�cit singulier. Chaque cas est unique et il existe autant de cancers que d'�tres qui en vivent la difficile r�alit� : plong� dans ce labyrinthe dont il est contraint d'arpenter les couloirs le patient doit puiser dans ses ressources int�rieures pour affronter l'�preuve qu'il traverse. En racontant comment elle a r�ussi � surmonter sa souffrance sa fatigue et ses peurs l'auteur aide chacun � trouver les clefs qui lui permettront de triompher de ses maux. Une force de vie �mane de ce livre. En choisissant de le publier Denise Morel-Ferla transmet un peu de cette force au lecteur. C'est en cela que ce livre singulier peut toucher des �tres tr�s diff�rents. <br/> <br/> BELFOND paperback
