‎Twelve volume set of graphic erotica by numerous artists bound in red leather (possibly leatherette) with embossed strip tease occurring successively on the cover of each book. Gilt lettering and numbered spine. Each book is 9 X 11 3/4 " and 240 pages with color and b&w art: mostly in comic format with some individual plates and occasional photos. Volumes #8 and 12 suffer light damage: # 8 shows a tear at the top of spine, # 12 has a chewed corner at lower back cover, damaged area about 1" . Otherwise all other volumes, all bindings, all pages are Near Fine, showing very little edge wear if at all. The set includes an advertising brochure of 16 pages with color and b&w illustrations in a loose-leaf folder as well as a copy of what appears to be a monthly "Rombaldi Club" newsletter/flyer from January 1988 (#11) that came with the monthly volume a customer subscribed to. This is on newsprint and is Fine. The collection contains more than 50 individual artists. [Braunschweig 26 January 1779] First and only printing. Folio, 4 double leafs = 16 pages (40 x 35cm when opened). Text is in German. Rare antique accounting spreadsheet from 1779. A very good example of this unrecorded multi page print. An unusual set of instructions to the local magistrates on how to structure their tax accounting reports since audits by the court accountants have found many mistakes. In addition to the detailed 5 page instructions there are 8 pages (plus 3 integral blanks) of spreadsheet which show preprinted columns for Revenue and Expenditures. It is obvious that the court accountants did not expect any deficits as the instructions clearly expect a positive tax remittance to be made at the end of every quarter. Rare. ‎Philadelphia: Printed by T. Dobson 175.00. 8vo. 230 x 145 mm. 9 x 5 ¾ inches. 14 pp. Removed from binding; edges of paper a bit chipped spine secured with Japanese paper. "This society was instituted in the year 1780 in the city of Philadelphia for the purpose of keeping up the knowledge of the German language and to preserve it in its purity." Filled with the righteousness of the victorious Shultz echoed the call for a nationalistic spirit in American but cautioned against the loss of the German culture and language that was so important to many citizens of Pennsylvania. The Mosheimian Society was organized in 1789 by Justus Heinrich Christian Helmuth an immigrant from Halle Germany with the goal of creating a comprehensive education system with an emphasis on adult literary skills in the German language and culture. Like most of its members Benjamin Schultz was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He is most remembered as a physician and advocate of vaccination who acted as a circuit rider and itinerant "vaccinator" in Pennsylvania. He petitioned President Madison for an official position that would allow him to travel wherever he was needed to vaccinate the public in any state in the union.
