The first edition of Cattaneo’s translation of Isocrates’ Panegyric: this book is considered as the first evidence of the presence of Cattaneo in Rome. Giovanni Maria Cattaneo was a humanist, born in Novara in the second half of XV century and dead around 1530. He spent much time in Rome, where he kept in touch with the contemporary cultural world and got along to the printer Mazzocchi: this translation is his first one published by the Roman editor and, in a wider sense, his better known text.‎
