Die Beitr�ge des Buches schlagen Br�cken zwischen Gestalttherapie und Psychoanalyse unter historischen und aktuellen Perspektiven. Historisch betrachtet haben sich viele Formen der Psychotherapie aus der Psychoanalyse entwickelt - sei es in enger Verbindung mit ihr sei es in deutlicher Abgrenzung. Das gilt in beiderlei Hinsicht sicherlich auch f�r die Gestalttherapie. Die bisweilen �berbetonte Abgrenzung von Gestalttherapeuten gegen�ber der Psychoanalyse wurde von manchen Psychoanalytikern mit Nichtbeachtung oder heftiger Kritik an der Gestalttherapie beantwortet. Im Zuge solcher Auseinandersetzungen kamen die Besch�ftigung mit den Gemeinsamkeiten und der kollegiale Dialog zwischen beiden therapeutischen Richtungen zu kurz. Dabei ist ein allein auf die eigene Therapieschule begrenztes Denken heute nicht mehr zeitgem��. Das Buch verfolgt daher vor allem das Ziel den Dialog zwischen Gestalttherapie und Psychoanalyse aufzunehmen und zu einer ausgewogenen Aufmerksamkeit f�r ihre Gemeinsamkeiten und Differenzen beizutragen.
