Mauriac, Francois (1885-1970)
Letter from François Mauriac to Luc Estang 1911-1992. Als.
Paris: 38 Ave. Expertise by Ségolène Beauchamp Paris. Where is his young friend with his anxieties •••No doubt it's settling in and lasting•• Illness is someone who is in no hurry and with whom one must get used to. It is true that his life is •••strange and complicated. But doesn't his character determine his destiny It is as it is that Mauriac loves him. He wishes however that he had been different and suffered less. •••YOU always make me think of Barres's little phrase in his article on clasped hands "nevertheless these excesses of sensitivity make one shudder•••".The young man's father causes concern and Mauriac tries to reason with his friend. It is normal for your father to die one day or another. Don't dramatize this normal event. You'll call me a monster. But accept the death of others as your own. It doesn't matter if 'what we believe is true •••As for the factory' why worry so much in advance .o. Business always lands on its feet like cats. Letter from François Mauriac to Vincent to Jacques Des Roches pseudonym of Jean-Gabriel Vacheron
Paris: 1939. TLs inviting Des Roches to his house. Included is a "Certificate d'exportation pour un bien cuturel" issued by by Ministère Culture of France.
