Il nesso tra Friedrich Nietzsche e anarchismo potrebbe apparire audace a molti, in particolar modo a coloro che ancora associano Nietzsche al fascismo, e l'anarchismo ad una semplice concetto di lotta di classe. Tuttavia l'anarchismo, quale progetto che mira all'abolizione di tutte le forme di potere, dovrebbe potersi appropriare liberamente dell'opera di uno dei più grandi iconoclasti di tutti i tempi. Nonostante Nietzsche si fosse dimostrato piuttosto severo nei confronti dei suoi contemporanei anarchici, in qualche modo ne condivideva la visione di totale trasformazione dell'esistente. Il fatto di riconsiderare tutti i valori costituiti non solo risulta decisamente compatibile con il progetto anarchico ma resta anche una componente integrale dello stesso, mentre la concezione di una filosofia martellante e aspramente critica è alla base dell'impegno anarchico verso una trasformazione sociale radicale. "Non sono un uomo, sono dinamite!" esamina le connessioni storiche, politiche e filosofiche tra il pensiero trasgressivo di Nietzsche e la visone politica di trasformazione dell'anarchismo.‎

A cinquant'anni dal 1968, Romano Madera - filosofo e psicoanalista che di quella sinistra extraparlamentare fu una delle anime (fondatore del gruppo "Gramsci" e redattore di "Rosso") - riprende e aggiorna le considerazioni formulate in uno dei suoi più noti scritti post-sessantottini ("Identità e feticismo", 1977) per osservare dalla giusta distanza cosa è rimasto di quella magnifica illusione.
