Ernesto Mayz Vallenilla Saltar a: navegación, búsqueda Ernesto Mayz Vallenilla (Maracaibo, 3 de septiembre de 1925) es un filósofo venezolano. Estudió bachillerato en el Liceo de Aplicación, el Liceo Fermín Toro y se graduó de bachiller en el Liceo Andrés Bello, todos ellos en la ciudad de Caracas. Se graduó en filosofía y literatura en la Universidad Central de Venezuela en la Primera Promoción de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras en el año 1950 donde obtuvo luego su doctorado en Filosofía. Estudió en las Universidades de Göttingen, Friburgo y Múnich, llegando a ser alumno de Martin Heidegger. Fue profesor de la Universidad Central de Venezuela y rector fundador de la Universidad Simón Bolivar. De esta última casa de estudios, Ernesto Mayz Vallenilla es el autor de la letra de su himno (Canción del Nuevo Mundo), con música de Alberto Grau. Son notables sus teorías sobre la razón técnica que se muestran en su libro Esbozo de una crítica de la razón técnica de 1974.1 En 2001 la Sociedad Argentina de Filosofía consideró a Mayz Vallenilla como el más destacado filosofo Latinoamericano del siglo veinte. Lo storicismo e i suoi problemi rappresenta, senza dubbio e in più sensi, la sistemazione conclusiva delle esigenze ed elaborazioni teoriche avvertite e costruite da Troeltsch nel corso della sua lunga e in tensa vita di ricerca. Con consapevolezza nietzscheana, Troeltsch espone qui l'utilità e il danno, la malattia e la virtù dello storicismo. L'elencazione impietosa dei «pericoli» e «gran vizi» dello storicismo si accompagna con la coscienza della novità imprescindibile della «rivoluzione» storicistica, che appare qui come una costellazione spirituale in scritta nel compimento della modernità. La costruzione teorica dell'opera si lascia indicare in tre nuclei principali cui risponde la suddivisione in tre volumi in questa edizione italiana: i linea menti di una logica formale e di una filosofia materiale della storia, l'analisi del concetto di sviluppo storico, la proposta dell'ideale di una nuova sintesi della cultura europea. IV Sulla costruzione della storia della cultura europea 1. Sviluppo e costruzione Vi sono dunque due temi principali della filosofia mate riale della storia: la sintesi culturale del presente e la storia universale. Entrambe stanno in una stretta connessione reciproca. La prima costituisce il presupposto soggettivo e l'ideale, determinante la selezione, della storia universale, la seconda lo sfondo obiettivo ed il materiale concreto della sintesi culturale. È un rapporto di determinazione reciproca e di reciproca dipendenza, dunque un rapporto circolare. Allo stesso modo, noi misuriamo le rotazioni del sole e quelle della terra dalla regolarità dell'ammontare delle ore e quest'ultima dalla regolarità delle prime. Tali determinazioni circolari non si possono mai evitare, laddove si vada ai fondamenti ultimi. Anzi, esse sono determinazioni circolari solo quando si parta dal presupposto della insicurezza di un elemento e si voglia oltrepassarla con l'aiuto dell'altro elemento. Esse non sarebbero tali, se si potesse presupporre uno sguardo intuitivo, che colga e comprenda simultaneamente entrambi afferrando insieme l'uno con l'altro. Solo perché non ci è data una tale simultaneità, e dobbiamo iniziare sempre a partire dall'uno o dall'altro, per pensarli solo successivamente in unità, sorge per noi la circolarità. In verità, però, anche per noi un tale sguardo intuitivo costituisce la soluzione del circolo e già l'inizio del l'intera posizione del problema. Esso sguardo, solo per...
