This volume contains the record of all the proceedings between Parliament and King Charles I between the end of 1641 and early 1643. In 1640 Charles established the Long Parliament in order to acquire funds for the Bishop’s War against the Scots. However as soon as the Long Parliament took control they began dismantling the monarchy’s authority by removing the King’s advisors and sympathizers.
