Dennoch leidet er an seinem Unverm�gen das Leben zu meistern. Zwar kann er in der Verborgenheit einer verbotenen Liebe im Widerspruch zu seinem Amt als kirchlicher W�rdentr�ger zeitweise das Gl�ck genie�en. Doch mit einer unbedachten Handlung macht er alles zunichte. Fabrizio del Dongo erschl�gt in Notwehr Giletti fl�chtet mit dessen Pass und ger�t an einen Grenzer der Giletti pers�nlich kennt und der daher auch weiss welcher Gauner Giletti ist. Hat er den Pass verkauft Pl�tzlich ist nicht Fabrizio sondern der Grenzbeamte in einer Zwangslage. Dies ist nur eine der zahlreichen Pistolengeschichten die Stendhals Kartause so kurzweilig machen. F�r alle Akteure gilt das Motto: Es ist besser wir t�ten den Teufel bevor der Teufel uns t�tet. Vor wenigen Jahren geisterte Ein unmoralisches Angebot durch die Kinos. War die Idee aus Stendhals Kartause geklaut Die Herzogin Gina ist rettungslos in ihren Schwager Fabrizio verliebt. Der sitzt aber eine langj�hrige Haftstrafe in der Zitadelle ab und man droht ihn dort aus dem Weg zu r�umen. Der F�rst von Parma k�nnte ihn begnadigen und verlangt als Gegenleistung von der Herzogin "dass ich . von Ihnen . alles erlangen werde was meine Liebe an h�chstem Gl�ck erwarten kann". Im Gegensatz zum schn�den Mammon -- wie im Hollywood-Schinken -- geht's hier um Wertvolleres. Die Kartause von Parma ist ein wogendes Gem�lde vom Adel in Parma bei dem der Asti spumante zu Arien von Cimarosa Symphonien von Mozart und zahlreichen Liebesaff�ren flie�t. Verp�nt war am Hof dagegen die Lekt�re von Voltaire und Rousseau; zu leicht wurde man zum verachteten Liberalen denen die tiefsten Verliese vorbehalten waren. Eine kurze Spannungsdurststrecke bricht Stendhal selbst ab: "Aber der Leser ist vielleicht all der kleinlichen Ma�nahmen und nicht weniger der ganzen Hofintrigen m�de". Richtig ich war's ein paar Seiten lang doch die Akteure setzen gleich darauf zum rauschenden Finale an. Unbedingt empfehlenswert! Diogenes Verlag AG unknown
