Welles stated immediately after completing the film: "The film begins with Welles narrating Kafka's parable "Before the Law" to pinscreen scenes created by the artists Alexandre Alexeieff and Claire Parker. Anthony Perkins stars as Josef K. a bureaucrat who is accused of a never-specified crime and Jeanne Moreau Romy Schneider and Elsa Martinelli play women who become involved in various ways in Josef's trial .Roger Corbeau born November 20 1908 in Haguenau Alsace was drawn to the cinema from a very young age. He moved to Paris in 1932 and began helping with props on film sets first for Roger Richebé then for Marcel Pagnol who hired Corbeau as a movie stills photographer in 1933. They worked together for six years. With his demanding work ethic and talent Corbeau quickly became a force in the French cinema. His photographs serve as a fervent tribute to the actors who left their mark on the medium from the 1930s to the 1980s. Corbeau took pictures on the sets of 160 films. Kafka umorista
br. L'analisi della comicità in Kafka di Guido Crespi ha una carica innovativa rispetto all'interpretazione che di Kafka vede solamente l'artefice di un'opera che contestava dall'interno le ragioni che rendono possibile il totalitarismo. È evidente, come scrisse Kundera nei "Testamenti traditi" che lo scrittore, lungi dall'essere alienato dal suo riso, in realtà "si diverte per noi" mentre inscena le sue storie condendole con crudeltà e sadismo, tanto più notevoli perché serviti freddi con una prosa al tempo stesso allusiva e trasparente (in apparenza, ma sempre con la doppia camera di compensazione del "simbolo nascosto"). David Foster Wallace nel 2005 scrisse che "la comicità di Kafka dipende da una sorta di letterarizzazione radicale di verità solitamente trattate come metafore" dispiacendosi di non essere capace di far comprendere ai propri studenti "che Kafka è comico". Il maggior studioso contemporaneo dello scrittore boemo, Reiner Stach, si è voluto concedere alla fine del monumentale lavoro biografico durato circa vent'anni, un libro propriamente "kafkiano", ovvero composto con "99 reperti" che ci offrono tutti insieme i tratti somatici dell'Uomo-Metamorfosi. Eccone alcuni: "Kafka bara all'esame di maturità", "Kafka s'infuria", "Kafka vorrebbe essere come Voltaire", "Kafka e Brod perdono al gioco i soldi della cassa comune per il viaggio". Il ritratto che ne esce, dove si mettono a nudo i tic di un uomo apparentemente come altri, ma che delle sue ossessioni - compresa quella sessuale, su cui il comico di Kafka si sbizzarrisce non poco (la sua Brunelda era rimasta nel cuore di Fellini, anche se non riuscì a farci il film che avrebbe desiderato, all'incrocio fra la Gradisca e la Grosse Margot) - ha saputo darci il succo più puro e per questo anche il più pericoloso, è a tutti gli effetti una maschera da Commedia dell'arte e non è da escludere che la figura longilinea di Kafka, i suoi tratti minuti e appuntiti del volto, possa trasformarsi nel burattino del ventriloquo, in perfetto abito di gala, che apre e chiude la sua bocca per pronunciare battute franche e crudeli a cui si dà ascolto come un divertimento ma che arrivano a toccare i nostri più nascosti orgogli. br. "Come entrare in un'opera come quella di Kafka? un'opera che è un rizoma, una tana?". Proprio come il Castello, essa presenta molteplici ingressi, senza che si sappia quali siano le leggi che ne regolano l'uso e la distribuzione. Si potrà allora entrare da un punto qualsiasi, non ce n'è uno che valga più dell'altro, nessun ingresso è principale o secondario. Deleuze e Guattari scelgono di partire dal concetto di lingua (e letteratura) minore, facendone il cardine di un vero e proprio programma filosofico-politico e la chiave per rileggere, insieme con l'opera di Kafka, tutta la letteratura del Novecento. Letteratura minore non vuol dire letteratura in una lingua minore, ma letteratura di una minoranza che impiega una lingua maggiore. Di fronte a una triplice impossibilità (impossibilità di non scrivere, impossibilità di scrivere in tedesco, impossibilità di scrivere in un'altra lingua), Kafka ha deciso di usare - e qui sta il suo genio - il tedesco come lingua minore. "Di grande, di rivoluzionario non c'è che il minore. Odiare ogni letteratura di padroni. Attrazione di Kafka per i servi e gli impiegati - stessa cosa, in Proust, per i servi e il loro linguaggio. Ma, altrettanto interessante, la possibilità di fare della propria lingua un uso minore. Essere nella propria lingua come uno straniero... Quanti stili, o generi, o movimenti letterari, anche minimi, sognano una cosa sola: assolvere una funzione maggiore del linguaggio, offrire i propri servizi come lingua di Stato, lingua ufficiale... Fare il sogno al contrario: saper creare un divenir-minore - c'è una chance per quella filosofia che per secoli formò un genere ufficiale e referenziale? Oggi l'antifilosofia vuol essere linguaggio del potere. Approfittiamone".

His writing inspired the work of surrealists like Duchamp and Prassinos.<br /> <br /> Le Chasseur Gracchus English: The Gracchus Hunter; German: Der Jäger Gracchus numbered seven out of fifteen copies on Vieux Japon was translated by Henri Parisot in 1939 and is one of the earliest Franz Kafka's stories published in French. A six-page story written in 1917 it was found posthumously among Kafka's papers. The tale is about the long-dead Hunter Gracchus who is destined to wander aimlessly and eternally at sea unable to find peace. The surrealist dreamlike imagery of the story explores themes of loneliness alienation and the human condition. This work represents a model for Kafka's later writing and a Kafkaesque dilemma "two worlds that cannot make themselves understood by one another." Emrich<br /> <br /> Sondue Sounded by Gisèle Prassinos is numbered two out of fifteen copies on Vieux Japon. A French artist and writer she was discovered by André Breton in 1934 who declared "the tone of Gisèle Prassinos is unique: all the poets are jealous of it." When she was just fourteen her first book La Sauterelle Arthritique The Arthritic Grasshopper was published. For many her personification of animals in this story was reminiscent of Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Hailed as a prodigy by the surrealists Sondue a novella-length narrative was published when she was just 19 and considered macabre humor. Prassinos used automatic writing sometimes referred to as free writing a common surrealist technique. This was the last story she published before the start of World War II. She would not publish any writing again until 1958. <br /> <br /> This "Biens Nouveaux" collection was beautifully printed on Vieux Japon known for its velvety texture and substantial weight and only used by Guy Lévis Mano for premium projects.
