Holly Emma; Ravenscroft Helena; Raymond Susie
BLACK LACE OMNIBUS IV
New York: Doubleday Direct Inc. 1999. A 3-novels-in-1 omnibus of late '90s romantic erotica from a trio of women authors noted for their work in this genre. "The Top of Her Game" by Emma Holly; "Stand and Deliver" by Helena Ravenscroft and Susie Raymond's "Taking Liberties" are the books in this fourth Black Lace omnibus edition. Originally published in 1993 by Black Lace this copy is from the book club edition a first edition thus. About 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 inches 761 pages in black paper-covered boards with gold lettering on the spine. The dustjacket's front panel shows a photo of a rather modest nude female serving as background for the titles of the three novels. Back panel has a one-inch-square detail from the photo on the front below the omnibus' title over a black background. Boards show a touch of surface wear and spine ends are lightly bumped while text has single dogeared page 491-492 o/w boards and text are complete clean and unmarked. Binding is tight and square. Dustjacket shows considerable surface and edgewear with small creases and tears. No major damage however and no loss of any part of the graphics and pictorial design elements. Dj is now in mylar protective jacket. This is way better erotica than "Shades of Grey" and better edited. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Doubleday Direct, Inc. Hardcover

Talyn : A Novel of Korre
Tor USA 2006. First Paperback Edition. Paperback. Good. 576 pages. Minor water damage to covers and text. Covers have light creasing. Edges of covers have moderate wear. Spine is uncreased. Pages are lightly tanned. Previous owner's name in ink. The Tonk and the Eastil have always been at war not a war with front lines and swords but a war of magic. Talyn a soldier trained from childhood to protect her country had long ago resigned herself to her fate: to die in battle. But when the Feegash come from across the world demanding to be allowed to negotiate peace Talyn is out of a job and at a loss for what to do with her life. Rather than follow most of her fellow soldiers to other parts of the world she stays with her family. When she meets a Feegash diplomat and allows herself to be seduced she discovers a dark side of herself that she hadn't even realized existed. Skirmig helps her save the lives of mistreated prisoners of war forgotten in the new peace but he acts as though Talyn/s honour means nothing to him. As she examines their relationship and his motives she slowly discovers that what the Feegash brought with them was not peace but an overwhelming oppression and an evil so insidious no one noticed it until it was too late. But if Talyn can hone her use of the strange Feegash war-magic she can turn their own magic back against them. With the help of one of the Eastil prisoners she might be able to use it to save the Tonk and defeat the Feegash once and for all.if it doesn't destroy her from the inside out first.
