Chief Inspector of Small Arms. This work begins with a brief biographical memoir of Percy Bysshe Shelley followed by some of his most famous long poems including 'Adonais. An Elegy on the Death of John Keats' and 'The Sensitive Plant' ending with 42 miscellaneous poems: among these are 'To A Skylark' 'Love's Philosophy' and 'Mont Blanc'. In full morocco binding with gilt borders and gilt decorated spine. Externally the work is generally smart with good colour and most of the gilding still bright save for a handful of areas notably: the corners the fore edge and the 'A' in 'BEAUTIES' in the gilt title where there is some loss. Some marks to the front and rear boards. Rubbing at the joints. Some bumping to the head and tail of the spine resulting in the beginnings of lifting at the latter.
